Easter, Terror and M&M By Ev. Kenny Joseph

Our fiend and her 5-year old daughter stood in a check-out line when suddenly Brenda yelled in a loud voice to the others in line, "Jesus died! We killed Him!" As the startled people turned to stare, she continued, "But He rose. He rose again.""He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today;
He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way,
He lives, He lives, Salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart."

Another little girl, Betty, watching television as the Twin Towers were attacked, asked "Mommy, Mommy, why did they do that? Why do they hate us?:"

I'll tell you, Betty: We get two answers.

Dr. Billy Graham, The Pope and George Bush said, it's a peaceful religion...just a few fanatics."

Dr. Graham's son, Franklin, said, "It wasn't Methodists flying into the Twin Towers and it wasn't Lutherans or Presbyterians. It was Moslems. Their god is not my God. It's an evil religion."

Salman Rushdie said in the N.Y. Times, "This isn't about Islam." is the mantra parroted by world leaders: "Islam and terror are not related." The trouble is that it isn't true."

Who's right? Both. Why?

It is the same as a 2-wheeled bicycle; two oars on a boat. A stereo. Two sides of the same coin. To understand, Betty, remember 2 words: Mecca and medina - M&M.

Mohammed tried to start a new religion using the Old Testament. The Jews didn't buy it and the Christians didn't buy it. That's the peaceful part in Mecca in Arabia.

Then in anger, he went to Medina and said, If you won't believe me by my words, then I will make you believe them by my sword" and so you have peace-the peace of a cemetery or warlike, militant, fighting Islam where you are forced to surrender.

How do I know about M&M.

My parents and thousands of relatives lived to tell it. At Easter-time in Persia in 1917.

As they were praying in church, the young Moslem enforcers burst in with knives and taunted them, "Oh, so you believe in the resurrection of Jesus and if you die you go to Heaven. Right? You've got 24 hours to decide. Will you receive the Koran or the sword?"

The eiders told the young people, "Tonight you run North to Christian Russia; West to London, cross a little ocean and go to America and Chicago. Your relatives are waiting."

My parents were among those who got to Chicago. My father arrived with $8 in his pocket. That's where I was born, a "boat peoples' son."

The enforcers came back and massacred 180,000 Assyrian Christians of the Church of the East (Nestorians). Before that and for centuries Moslems, Christian' and Jews lived in peace and war. Bin laden isn't new. He is 1,300 years old.

I've taken busloads of Japanese to the Bible lands ten times and one site is the synagogue, church and mosque on the same street in Cairo, Egypt.

Yet in Indonesia or Pakistan Moslems break into churches and kill Christians and bum down churches.

Why? M&M.

We've seen on TV 2 million Moslems, some selling their homes to buy a ticket to Mecca. CNN told why. Quoting one verse where Mohammed said, If you stand on this spot where I am standing your sins will be forgiven and you will go to Paradise. " So they must go there before they die or go to hell.

Those 19 Moslems who crashed those planes were told that there will be 72 virgins waiting for them in Paradise. In 1917 you only got 24!

After 9/11 churches in America invited Moslem mullahs to come and explain their religion. To answer the little girl's question, "Why do they hate us?", the "party-line" is: "Islam" means peace,."

No, it means submission. Obey, submit, surrender to my way or else.

My Message to Muslim Mullahs (M&M & M&M)

Now if I were invited into a mosque to explain Christianity, I would hold up a big picture of the crucifixion and say:. `This is your photograph. That's right you're in this picture. But, you say you don't see your face. There are only 2 kinds of people in this world...sinners and sinners saved by grace. You're either a sinner going to hell, or you are a saved sinner bound for heaven. You can't be neutral, you can't balance on a fence. You must be one or the other. Which one are you?

You ask, "What does the cross mean?" Why do you put crosses on your churches?

One meaning of the cross is a road block, a stop sign. The cross hangs right in the middle of the road to hell. Christ Jesus Himself stands on the cross waving and pushing you back from that road to hell crying, "Stop! Turn around! Repent! About face! Believe in me! Go to heaven! Stop!"

The only way for you to go to hell is to climb to hell. You must climb over our prayers, this message and God's Word. You must climb over the cross of Christ, over the blood of Christ and then topple into hell. Christ has put up this road block. And you must go around, over or under Him to go to hell.

You now stand at the crossroads of destiny, the fork in the road. One road goes to heaven; the other goes to hell. You can't be neutral, you can't go back. Even if you refuse to reply, you've decided in your heart to reject Christ.

You say, "Very good speech, but I don't need Christ."

"Why?" You say, "Well, Christ is dead. You just said so. He died on the cross. What good is a dead Savior?"

God's Word says, "This is the Gospel that Christ Jesus died and was buried and on the third day he rose again."

You say, "That's a myth; a fairy tale. I use the scientific method. I believe only facts."

One of the greatest facts ever authenticated in the world's history is the fact that Christ Jesus was crucified, buried and rose again. Also, as proof, he was seen by disciples, by women, by five hundred people and by other people for forty days. Jesus Christ is not dead;

He's alive!

Here is the biggest difference between Christianity and false religions. all the other saviours' dead bones are in the ground. Jesus Christ alone is alive.

A Chinese came to Confucius, "Teacher, my heart is heavy. My father died last night. Where is his soul now?" Confucius said, "I can't explain this life. How can I explain about the next one?"

Yet millions in China, Korea, Formosa and Japans today follow Confucius' teaching.

A history book says, "In 600 B.C. there lived a young Indian prince, Gautama. Bothered about the problems of life, he left his family, wife and children. To the Indians this is an unforgivable sin. He went in search for the true God and wandered into a desert. He ate some spoiled pork and was dying. His disciples gathered around him and asked, "Oh teacher, before you go into the great beyond, please write down carefully where you're going and what it is like. We hope to follow you soon." How did the "great enlightened one" reply to his disciples?: "I'm even now searching for the way of salvation." In this condition he died, not gaining true salvation. Yet millions trust their eternal soul's welfare to him.
Two thousand years ago Jesus Christ's own apostles asked Him the same question: "Where is heaven? How do we get there? Please teach us."

Doubting Thomas cried out to Jesus, "Jesus, we don't know where you're going and how can we know the way?" Christ said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man can come unto God the Father but by me."

"Well, Lord, we will believe if we can see God." Then Jesus said, "He that hath seen me, hath seen God." He also said, "1 am the resurrection and the life. He that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. He that liveth and believeth in me shall never die." Do you? God's Son, Jesus Christ, gave His life that He might give you two free presents, namely, eternal life and forgiveness of sins. Christ rose from the dead. Satan was defeated. And death's power was driven into the ground. Death has no more power over us who believe in Christ. wear a lapel cross that says, "Paid in Full." My sins' penalty paid by Christ.

The four things that God wants us to know are: 1. We are sinners before God. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Rom. 3:23) Whatever good works we do, those all fall short or miss the mark of God's glory. A young businessman said, " can't accept Christianity because it's free. I'd be glad to dig a ditch a mile long through concrete if could earn this salvation." told him, "You could dig a ditch around the world and you still couldn't earn your salvation, because "it is by grace you are saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a free gift of God; not of works lest any man should boast." (Eph. 2:8,9)

3. There is only one true Savior. Through Him we can go to Heaven. "There is none other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12)

4. "Then what must do to be saved?" First, repent, turn about face and separate from your sins. Second, accept Christ, receive and believe in Him. Christ is your own personal substitute to save you from sin. Two blessed gifts God gives immediately to repentant believers are forgiveness and peace.

If you'll do these two things, God almighty promises to give you two free gifts.

1. Every single sin that you ever committed in your entire life-I don't care what you've done or how deep you've gone--will be forgiven, washed away, completely blotted out and erased. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." John 1:9.

2. The second present that God will give you tonight is a guarantee, the assurance that even if you should die tonight. there is a home in Heaven prepared for you. A Japanese said. "We have a Japanese custom, `okaeshi.' When one receives a present, he expresses his thankfulness many times and then brings a gift in return. wonder what kind of a gift should give back to Christ?"

The answer is: Jesus doesn't expect a gift from us. Jesus' request is simply your faith. You don't need to work to be saved. But, after you're saved, you certainly should do good works.

Finally, as God's ambassador, Jesus requests that you make a decision either to accept or reject God's peace treaty. There is no neutral position. You must either believe or accept God's peace treaty or you must trample it under foot, spit on it, and walk away with it unsigned. Years ago a man said to me, "Young man, how old are you?" said, "I'm 44, why?" He said, "I'm 91. I've lived much longer than you. want you to listen. Until now I've heard many sermons, but my conclusion is: It doesn't matter what you believe just as long as you're sincere. You tell us that we must decide for Christ-you mustn't say such a rude thing. We don't do things like that in Japan.." said, "Pardon me, sir: know you're twice as old as am, but please understand I'm not forcing my own ideas. God's word says, 'There's no other name by which to be saved.'"

He said, "Now wait a minute. Can you see beautiful Mount Fuji? There are many roads to climb, but they all go to the exact same spot on the top. So there are thousands of religions. From our viewpoint, though, they're all different, they'll all reach the same heaven. Therefore, if we're just serious and believe sincerely, really, that's the important thing." said, "Grandfather, that's true about Mt. Fuji. But Jesus said, ' am the door, by me if any man enter in, he shall be am the way, the truth and the life and no man (not the President or Emperor or you) cometh unto the Father except through me.'"

"He said, "You're narrow-minded. We Japanese aren't like that. We have very broad minds. As long as we're sincere..."said, "What if some night a man got very sick and he got up and went to the medicine closet. He couldn't see a thing because he didn't want to turn the light on and wake the other people up. He felt around here and there for the medicine bottle he often used and swallowed some. He trusted that this medicine would cure his sickness, but instead of curing it he got worse. In fact, in a short time he died. What really happened? He had complete faith, he was sincere and he was trusting implicitly in that bottle to heal him. Actually in that bottle was strong poison.

"Now ask you, grandfather, is sincerity all that counts?" He shrugged his shoulders with an "Oh...uh...er...'' and said, " see." further assured him that sincerity is not enough, but that we must grasp the truth.

Then he asked me what the truth is. He said he had been searching for it for a long time. So told him to read John 8:32: And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." And he read further, If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed."
At this point he said, " want to get free. Who is the Son?" said, "The Lord Jesus Christ." Another grandfather had been listening in to our conversation and he said,' Thank you very much. We will think very seriously about this and if we do our best and pray, I'm sure that in God's time He will make us see the light." With that he quoted a Japanese proverb which means that 'Tomorrow blows tomorrow's wind so don't worry."
challenged them both to think about that if they should die tonight, where would their souls go. The second man finally settled down and said, "If we can come to Jesus just as we are, we'll come." assured them with the song, "Come every soul by sin oppressed, there's mercy with the Lord; And He will surely give you rest by trusting in His Word."

I would encourage you to come to Jesus and trust in Him while there is still time. "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." Hebrews 3:15
