2. What is the Mission statement?

St. Paul said, "I magnify my office" (Romans 11:13). How do we magnify ours?with sincerity? With proper preparation? With quality service? As a professional?

A group of missionaries, concerned about both the evangelistic potential in and the misguided approaches to "chapel wedding evangelism" have formed a nationwide network for information and assistance to those who aren't officially qualified as ordained or licensed ministers.

We're painfully aware that much of the "witness" purported to be in the Name of Christ actually brings shame upon His cause by improper attitudes, shoddy methods, and lack of qualifications in both language and cross-cultural awareness. A Japanese pastor said publicly, "90% of foreign wedding preachers are phony (nise-mono ishiki)." Of course we challenged him.

We humbly offer a screening process to provide a certificate of recognition for chapel wedding ministry.

If you have a sincere heart for evangelism and a desire to minister with quality, but feel yourself inadequate, or do not possess official papers of ministry, we want to encourage you. We'll evaluate your present qualifications and, where advisable, provide suggestions and materials to develop your abilities for this ministry.

We offer to you a group of veteran Japan missionaries with chapel wedding experience as resource persons. This group is informally organized with the common concern of providing wedding companies with ministers who will give a quality ceremony which will be a credit to the Gospel and will help move peoples' hearts toward Christ.

3. What is the Process of Application?

If you feel we might be of help to you, please:

1.       Contact the missionary evaluator closest to you listed below and arrange for a time to meet him.

2.       Deposit by postal furikae (enclosed') the sum of Y30,000 to offset the cost of mailings and materials to be provided to you: certificate, membership card, lapel cross, books, video and other items. A portion of this sum is given to the one who provides his time to assist you. Bring this receipt with you and give it to the evaluator before you begin. No cash or checks please.

3.       Bring a copy of your wedding ceremony to the evaluator and present the ceremony orally before him.

4.       Bring the name of a minister or missionary who will recommend you.

5.       Bring a formal face picture to be used on the certificate and your resume (typewritten) including any Bible school or other formal training.

5. Final Approval

After your meeting and approval by the area representative, your certificate etc. will be sent to you in two weeks. This is all the credential you need, backed by Shukyo Hojin (Zenkoku Kirisuto Kyo Dendo Kai). God bless you as you labor for the Master from the dawn 'til setting sun.

Cordially Yours in Christ,

Kenny Joseph
